Jon Obika signs a two-year deal at Oxford United after rejecting a contract offer from Swindon Town

Jon Obika has signed for Oxford United after rejecting a contract extension from Swindon Town.

Obika joined Town in the summer of 2014 for an undisclosed fee from Tottenham and went on to score 25 goals in 95 games for the Robins.

He was part of the side that made the League One play-off final in 2015, but Swindon lost 4-0 to Preston North End.

The 26-year-old regularly struggled with injury during his time at the County Ground, however, but despite that Swindon offered him a new deal to remain at the club following last season's relegation.

He has rejected that to remain in League One with Town's rivals, Oxford United.

Obika has signed a two-year deal at the Us.
