FA CUP MATCHDAY LIVE: Swindon Town v Darlington FC

Good afternoon and welcome to our first FA Cup Matchday Live of the season as Swindon Town host National League Darlington FC at the County Ground in the opening round of the cup competition. Join Total Sport Swindon's Rajan Hothi from 2.30pm as he brings you all the pre-match build-up and live commentary across 90 minutes of FA Cup action.

4:59PM

90' Full-time: Swindon 1-2 Darlington. The same old FA Cup exit for Town.

4:55PM

90' Four minutes added on. 1-2.

4:47PM

82' There is no questioning the potential Town have going forwards, but serious questions must be asked defensively. Swindon's back-line looking vulnerable against a National League North side is not ideal. 1-2.

4:43PM

78' Kovar makes an important stop as another defensive mistake almost costs Town.

1-2

4:26PM

60' 2-1 Darlington. Campbell’s shot took a wicked deflection off Grounds, and left Kovar with no chance as Swindon fall behind again.

4:22PM

58' Jordan Stevens tees up Joel Grant who can only fire over from the edge of the box. 1-1.

4:18PM

54' Swindon on top but Darlington holding firm at the moment. 1-1.

4:08PM

45' Teams are back out for the second-half. 1-1.

3:55PM

HT: Swindon 1-1 Darlington. Brett Pitman spares Swindon's blushes at half-time.

3:49PM

45' Six minutes added on. 1-1.

3:43PM

40' GOAL 1-1. Brett Pitman scores a tap-in after Joel Grant is sent through by Matt Smith.

3:41PM

38' Can't say Darlington have been anything special, but as it has been so many times this season, Swindon have been the masters of their own demise. 0-1

3:34PM

Goal. 1-0 Darlington. Mistake from Grounds sees Charman score.

3:32PM

28' Great work from Matt Smith sees the Arsenal loanee send through Brett Pitman, but the latter cannot get a shot away. 0-0.

3:29PM

26' Change of linesman is the reason for the delay. 0-0.

3:23PM

20' Charman has the ball in the net for Darlington, but it's offside. 0-0.

3:16PM

13' Saltmer is on hand to deny Joel Grant after a great move from Town. 0-0.

3:13PM

8’ Great save from Darlington keeper as Iandolo almost heads home from a free kick. 0-0.

3:07PM

4’ We’re underway. Not much to report so far. 0-0

2:37PM

Just a reminder that if scores are level after 90 minutes, there will be NO replays. Extra-time and penalties will await.

2:27PM

In that time, Swindon have been knocked out by Non-League sides four times (twice against Macclesfield, once against Eastleigh and Woking) alongside a 5-0 hammering at a Cheltenham side that were relegated from the Football League in 2014-15.

2:26PM

The FA Cup has not been kind to Swindon in recent years. Since losing 2-0 at Leicester in 2012, Town have won just two of their last 12 games in the competition. Those wins coming against Dartford (5-1) and York City (2-1.)

2:23PM

Ellis Iandolo and Brett Pitman come into the starting XI as Town look to the FA Cup as a welcome distraction from the league. Kick-off just over 35 minutes away.
