David Flitcroft sees 'no complications' in extending Keshi Anderson's loan at Swindon Town

Swindon Town manager David Flitcroft does not think there will be any complications about keeping Keshi Anderson at the club, but he is fully focused on the festive fixture list at the moment.

Anderson signed a six-month loan deal at Swindon Town from Crystal Palace on the summer window transfer deadline day, and he has impressed during his stint at the club thus far.

He is set to return to the Palace on January 13, unless his deal is extended.

Mainly as a number 10, but occasionally as a striker, Anderson has scored four goals and assisted three in his 20 appearances for the club this season.

The latest of those assists came in Saturday's 1-0 win over second-placed Notts County, as he teed up Luke Norris for the only goal of the game, which lifted Swindon back up to 10th.

The 22-year-old was one of Swindon's better players against County, as he impressed as the 10 in Swindon's changed 3-4-1-2 system that they deputised in the league this weekend.

Speaking after that game, Flitcroft spoke of the likelihood of keeping Anderson in Wiltshire for the rest of the season.

When asked whether there would be any complications in extending Anderson's loan, Flitcroft said: "No, nothing's complicated, it's just about talking to the right people.

"With the glut of games, we've had to really focus on that behind the scenes in the restructuring and recruitment of the squad, but the games are so close to each other, we've got recovery tomorrow then planning for the Barnet game.

"It's a real period, just before the window opens, where you've got to concentrate on the games because it's really important we get as many points as possible in this stage of the season."

Anderson's contract at Premier League club Crystal Palace ends at the conclusion of the season so, unless Palace extend his deal, he will be available to sign on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
