McArthurglen Designer Outlet Swindon Hosts College Textile Exhibition and Student Discount Evening.
McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon is this week hosting Higher National Diploma (HND) Textile students from New College Swindon as they showcase their work. The exhibition will go on until Sunday 25th September.
The display, featuring a range of traditional and modern textile techniques from screen printing to embroidery, will be a first time experience for many of the students.
Entitled; ‘Delving Deep’, the diverse fashion, interiors, and art works on show have been inspired by the setting, history, people, and traditions of the county of Wiltshire.
Free to attend, and open for viewing during the designer outlets’ opening hours, visitors are encouraged to speak to the artists about their work and offer their feedback via the hashtag #delvingdeep2016 on Twitter. Or comment on the colleges’ Facebook page ‘Delving Deep 2016’, where further details are available.
Tina Cumpstey, the centre manager of McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Swindon, said; “We’re delighted to continue to support the local community and Swindon’s young artistic talent by, once again, hosting the New College’s latest design exhibition and their tribute to Wiltshire.”
Student Night
As part of the week’s activities, the designer outlet will also host ‘Student Night’, offering college students, sixth-form students or anyone in education over the age of 16* exclusive discounts, giveaways and competitions. ‘Student Night’ will take place between 5pm – 8pm on Thursday 22nd September.
