Loyalty Card Coming to Swindon

inSwindon BID have commissioned a town centre loyalty card which will be launched this year.

The Swindon Business Improvement District – inSwindon BID - has recently announced their latest project aimed at bringing more people into town by commissioning a town centre loyalty card.

Swindon Loyalty Card will be launched during the last week of June – coinciding with the Armed Forces week – and will give shoppers generous discounts in over 100 national and independent shops within Swindon town centre.

“Paul Booth Franchisee of McDonald’s commented “ This is a scheme which gives local shoppers an incentive to use businesses in Swindon Town Centre, and whilst we have yet to confirm our offer to holders of the Swindon Loyalty Card, I am only too happy to support a promotion which will hopefully enhance the experience of visitors to our town”.

inSwindon BID CEO Simon Jackson is enthusiastic about this project. “A town centre loyalty card is something we have been looking at for some time and we are therefore delighted to have found the right company to launch it on our behalf. We feel that one card giving generous discounts and other benefits will entice people into using our high street businesses and promote the local business community as a whole”

The company launching this project on behalf of inSwindon BID is My Loyalty Card who have the scheme operational in Kettering and Northampton, and they will be launching in Orpington, Stevenage and Grays.

Director of My Loyalty Card, Stuart Hopkins says, “The reason borough councils and BID’s are embracing our scheme is because of the simplicity of the concept. Why have a complicated points collecting scheme when you can simply have a card which gives immediate discounts upon showing it?”

The Swindon Loyalty Card will come under the My Loyalty Card brand, meaning that any holders of My Loyalty Card who are visiting to Swindon from other towns would be able to access the discounts, too.

The loyalty cards will be available from several key locations in the town centre from the end of June, and will be free of charge to all.
