Giant Spider Spotted in Swindon Town Centre

A team of professional 3D graffiti artists have unleashed a giant 3D spider in the town centre.

The arachnid invader has been created as part of The Brunel's STREETFEST event. The three-day festival promises a mind boggling array of 3D graffiti, live music, dance performances by Swindon Dance, craft workshops and an Instagram-worthy graffiti wall.

Jane Stewart, Marketing Manager at The Brunel expects the event to bring an exciting buzz to the Swindon town centre. Jane said, “We’ve been working hard to find the very best festival street entertainment to bring to Swindon town centre this summer. We have some really excellent acts lined up and I’m thrilled that we’ve managed to persuade pavement artist Julian Beever to create a bespoke 3D artwork just for us.”

The festival begins on Friday 28th August from 11am and will run daily, between 11am and 3.30pm, concluding in the afternoon on Sunday 30th August.

All events, workshops and performances are completely free and can be found around the shopping centre itself and along Canal Walk.
