Tell us a little bit about yourself…

I moved to Swindon 15 years ago as I was working in both Newbury and Bristol, so Swindon was perfectly situated along the M4.

I have worked in the property sector for nearly 20 years, where I have held various management positions within sales and marketing, operating across the South West, mainly with large scale housebuilders.

Since moving to Swindon, I have bought a number of properties, all needing complete renovation. I have a passion for restoring period properties and furniture. When I’m not doing this, I love to take my 2 year old labradoodle for long walks. Thankfuly, one of Swindons best kept secrests is the large amount of green spaces, woodland walks and country parks that it has. My favoruites being Lydiard, Croft Woods and Coate Water.

How can your business help those who are looking to sell or let their property?

My business provides a complete, personal service. If you need help with renting or selling your home, or buying your first / next home, I can offer a range of different services to help you. I aim to be your property partner for life, so building lasting relationships is incredibly important to me.

What sets your business apart from any other agent in Swindon?

I create individual marketing strategies for each home that’s listed with me, rather than a ‘one size fits all approach’. All of my clients benefit from a premium marketing package as standard.

I only work with a handful of clients at any one time to ensure I can provide a dedicated one to one service.

My aim is to achieve the best possible price for all of my clients, not just a ‘quick sale’.

Is there one common reason why people decide to rent or buy a property in Swindon in your experience?

The main reasons are;

1) They have grown up in Swindon and want to stay here to be near family or friends

2) They have moved here for the excellent commuter links to nearby major towns and cities.

Why should individuals choose to work with you?

There are many excellent agents throughout Swindon, some of which I have used myself and have been very pleased with their service. However, a couple of elements that I didn’t like was that the agent who valued my property is rarely the person who sells it. Infact, you will probably never see them again. This means that agents showing people around your home have more than likely never even been there, let alone know the reasons why someone should buy it. Since, starting my business, I have heard this from my clients all too often.

With me, I will be the person who lists the property, fully researches all I need to know for buyers to be properly informed, and I will carry out all of the viewings. This is why it’s so important for me to only have a small number of clients at any one time, to ensure I can uphold my promises.

What 3 things keep you motivated to achieve the best?

1) Customer satisfaction and onward referrals

2) Job satisfaction - I truly love what I do. It doesn’t feel like work to me. It’s just a great experience everyday for me to be able to work with property and people

3) Achieving the best result for my customers in terms of service and property price – This is a target I set myself which drives me on a daily basis to do my best

What is the most enjoyable part of your job?

Honestly, it’s the people I meet along the way. My clients are a joy to work with. The reality is that agents choose clients just as much as clients choose agents.

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

Building my business and receiving great feedback from my clients.

What have been your key challenges and how have you overcome them?

My main challenge was to try and break into a very busy marketplace. There are a lot of agents in Swindon already, offering very different propositions. However, I was and still am confident that my offering is unique. I provide a premium, dedicated service for all clients whatever the price of your property.
