Pebley Beach welcomes two new sales executives

Suzuki motor dealer Pebley Beach has welcomed two new sales executives to its Cirencester site.

Wayne Connolly has swapped one Beach for another, after leaving a career as a holiday camp entertainer for motor sales. 

He has spent 23 years in the motor trade, previous to which he was a Butlin's Redcoat – entertaining the children by day, and writing and cracking jokes for adult campers at night.

"Motor sales and the entertainment industry are strangely similar," said Wayne. "It's all about building a rapport with the customer and making them feel happy and confident in their purchase."

Suzuki, he thinks, is a good brand to deliver confidence, frequently topping the lists of most reliable motor manufacturer. His current favourite models are the Swift Sport hot-hatch and the new Vitara SUV. 

Joining Wayne at Pebley Beach is Dean Carter, who has spent most of his working life in sales. Before entering the motor trade five years ago, Dean managed the O2 mobile phone store in Cirencester. 

"I love sales – it's in my blood," said Dean. "And I'm enjoying my work at Pebley Beach. There's a great family atmosphere here; it's not at all like the corporate culture I'm used to. 

"I'm selling affordable and reliable cars to a loyal customer base in a non-pushy way. I'm really happy to be part of the team."
