Accompanied by a live orchestra, the talented company will be dancing Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake from Mon 14 - Wed 16 March.
Sleeping Beauty, Monday 14 March at 7.30pm
Every child’s favourite fairy tale, this is the classic story of love and innocence, mystery and magic set to Tchaikovsky’s sublime score. Stunning choreography, sumptuous costumes and wonderful sets form the fantasy world in which the Lilac Fairy struggles against the evil Carabosse.
The Nutcracker, Tuesday 15 March at 7.30pm
This most famous of fantasy ballets for all the family begins as night falls on Christmas Eve. When midnight strikes we are swept away to a fairy tale world where nothing is quite as it seems, toy dolls spring to life and the Mouse King and his Mouse Army battle with the Nutcracker Prince.
Swan Lake, Wednesday 16 March at 7.30pm
The greatest romantic ballet of all time is brought to life by Tchaikovsky’s haunting and unforgettable score. From the impressive splendour of the Palace ballroom to the moon-lit lake where swans glide in perfect formation, this compelling tale of tragic romance has it all.
Russian State Ballet of Siberia's magnificent principle dancer, 20-year-old Anna Fedosova, says: "I will be performing in all of the ballets on the tour and my favourite is Swan Lake, because this is the most beautiful and the most elegant role for a ballerina.
"Every little ballet girl dreams to dance this character in her career. I think my role of Odile in Swan Lake is my career highlight, and everyone says that I am the best!"
Artistic director Sergei Bobrov adds: "It is always a pleasure to bring the unique traditions of Russian ballet to British audiences. Touring the UK with a full company of dancers as well as highly skilled musicians is always exciting.”
Formed in 1981, The Russian State Ballet of Siberia quickly established itself as one of Russia’s leading ballet companies and with their breath-taking physical ability and dazzling costumes, are guaranteed to impress both ballet fans and first timers alike.
