Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens
Bradwell Grove, Burford, Oxfordshire, OX18 4JP
Website Email 01993 823006It is 19 miles from Swindon and takes approx. 35 minutes by car. There is ample parking and the Park is open for most of the year - for opening times and prices I suggest you visit their website - there are reductions if you book online too.
The Park is set in beautiful grounds and stunning gardens. There is literally something for everyone to do with Birds, Mammals, Primates and Reptiles on display. My grandaughter was enthralled by the wolves, giraffes, lions and rhinos. She was also particularly taken with the giant ant eater and of course the great train ride which meanders through the grounds highlighting the superb layout of the Park and animals. There is an excellent play area for the children which is situated near the restaurant where we enjoyed a very good cooked lunch. The restaurant offers hot meals, sandwiches and all the usual food and drink. A very popular ice cream kiosk is located close to the lion and camel enclosures. Numerous picnic tables are scattered around the grounds. Don`t forget to visit the shop which has a wide selection of products and gifts.
We had a wonderful day out and will certainly be visiting again and can highly recommend a visit.
