REVIEW: The Rocky Horror Show at Wyvern Theatre
On Monday 7th March Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical, The Rocky Horror Show, kicked off for it's opening night at The Wyvern Theatre.
The Rocky Horror Show is a fun and thrilling musical. It's based on two college students - Brad and his fiancée Janet. Ore Oduba the winner of Strictly Come Dancing was superb as Brad and Haley Flaherty was also brilliant as Janet. Brad and Janet's car breaks down outside a frightening mansion, which leads them to meet the charming Dr Frank N Furter.
It featured so many classics such as: Sweet Transvestite, Damn it Janet and the ultimate tune, Time Warp.
It was an unforgettable show, it was fun, thrilling and energetic, it really was an exuberant show. The theatre was full and the evening flew by. The cast were incredible but in particular Philip Franks who played the narrator and Stephen Webb who played Frank N Furter gave a phenomenal performance.
When the curtains came down for intermission we had no hesitation in heading to the ice cream parlour in the upstairs café. Before the show had started we purchased an ice cream token which allowed us to miss all the queues. They had an array of mouth-watering flavours but we opted for: Mint Chocolate Chip, Rum & Raisin and Rasberry Sorbet.
The Rocky Horror Show is on from Monday 7th - Saturday 12th March. You can still purchase tickets HERE!
