Tom Smith joins Conference South outfit Bath City on a month-long loan
Swindon Town midfielder Tom Smith will ply his trade at Twerton Park for a month, as he has signed a short-term loan deal with Bath City.
Smith, 19, becomes the fifth man to now be out on loan as Will Henry was recalled from his spell at Dunstable last week.
Fellow youth academy graduates Scott Twine, Tommy Ouldridge (both Chippenham) and Jake Evans (Farnborough) are also currently away from Town, as is James Brophy who is at Leyton Orient.
Originally a centre-midfielder, Smith has featured at left-back in recent times for Town and shone there for 45 minutes in a 1-0 win over Bradford last season.
He has not featured for the senior side yet this season but was also deployed as a left-back during Dave Flitcroft's first pre-season with the club.
Last campaign, Smith spent some time with Irish second-division club Waterford and impressed while in Ireland.
