Swindon Town set date for Woking friendly

Swindon Town have today officially the date on which they will face conference side Woking Town in a pre-season friendly.

The Robins will face Woking on Saturday, July 23, at the Laithwaite Community Stadium.

Kick-off confirmed for 3pm.

The two clubs are no strangers to one another, after recently conducting transfer business over the move of England youth midfielder John Goddard.

The energetic midfielder enjoyed a fine season with the Cardinals and was awarded the accolade of Player of The Season.

The tie could likely see Goddard line up against his former employers, as Swindon manager Luke Williams prepares for his first full pre-season as first team manager of the club.

Ticket details for the fixture are yet to be released by the Robins.
