Holloway: I want Swindon to win as many games as possible
Ian Holloway lifted he lid on why he did not rotate his Swindon Town squad following their 1-1 draw at Gillingham.
A stunning free-kick from Will Wright ensured Town picked up a point at Priestfield Stadium.
Holloway named the same side that won at Grimsby in their previous away game.
And despite Swindon’s League Two play-off chances having now ended, the 62-year-old insisted he was eager to get as many points as he could from the campaign.
Speaking post-match, Holloway said: "I want Swindon to win as many games as possible, that is what my job is.
“As that old boy said when I first came here 'stop talking a good game, and start winning’.
"That is what I have got to do, so why would I change things or even dream of putting someone else out there who I know already is not ready yet?
"It is my job to convince everyone at the club that I know what I am talking about and we are going to move forward. We need this, we need that, and we have to get this and see where we go.
"I am so proud of being given the wonderful opportunity to be able to do it.”
The draw put Town 13th in the table, ahead of their season finale at home to MK Dons on Saturday (3pm).
