Brief Factfile:

Number: 28

Position: Defender

D.O.B: 12/10/1990

This season, Lyle celebrates his tenth straight year with the Swindon Wildcats, and his fifteenth year associated with the club and that will continue for a few more years at least, following his new deal that was signed earlier on this year, which keeps him in Wiltshire until 2018.

Having come through the clubs junior affiliate sides the Leopards (in 2004-05) and the Cougars, (2007-08) he broke in to the NIHL set up and, a year later, made his first appearance for the EPHIL Wildcats.

Lyle's early opportunities came in fits and starts, but the following season (2009-10) was incredibly positive as he notched six goals and 19 assists in 20 games.

10 goals and 5 assists from 35 games followed the season after.

In 2014-15, he was announced as one of the clubs alternative captains, and despite missing some of the season recovering from concussion, he once again impressed on the ice and managed to notched up 2 goals and 13 assists (for 15 points) from a total of 46 games played.

Having given 100% effort in every game, the player also picked up the supporters Player of the Year award as well as the club award for Best Defenceman at the end of season (2014-15) presentation night, and he received the Supporters Club Defenceman of the Year award last season, which again, highlighted just how valuable the player is to the clubs roster.
