Hoog's ice hockey career started in 2001-02 with Hammarby U16s, with his breakthrough season coming in 2005-06 with Huddinge – a season which also saw him ice with Southern Minnesota Express and then Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
In 2007-08 he returned to his home country, where he remained until midway through the season with Nacka, he arrived in the UK to team up with the Wildcats.
His excellent Wildcats form saw him become an instant success and has remained at the club and in doing so he has secured a place in Wildcats history with his record-breaking efforts.
In a change from the norm, on March 4 [2016], the club announced that Hoog had agreed a further year deal, keeping him at Swindon for the 2016-17 season.
