ON-THE-BUZZER MATCH REPORT: Swindon Wildcats 6-4 Hull Pirates

The Swindon Wildcats got back to winning ways thanks to a 6-4 victory over the Hull Pirates on Saturday evening.

The Wildcats lost a five-match win streak last Sunday when they lost at Telford in Overtime, but things were put right six days later with the victory over the Pirates which now, of course, means Swindon have six wins from their last seven matches.

Swindon went 2-0 up at the Link, but found themselves being pegged back to 2-2 and then 3-3, but Head Coach Aaron Nell showed how it was done by scoring three goals late on to earn the points for Swindon.

Nell opened the scoring at 3:09 when he was assisted by Jonas Hoog for what was the first of his four goals of the night.

Sam Bullas doubled the hosts' advantage at 10:40 with Nell turning provider as part of the assist team while Max Birbraer played his part, too.

The first period was flipped on its head though when Hull hit back with two goals in two minutes.

Josh Gent reduced the Pirates' deficit to one goal at 14:16 when he was assisted by Lee Bonner and Ryan Watt and at 15:41 it was 2-2.

Jason Hewitt finished past Stevie Lyle in the Wildcats goal after Lee Haywood set him up to level the scores.

Malasinski restored the Wildcats' lead at 24:28 to make it 3-2, but Hull were dogged and Hewitt bagged his second leveller of the night at 48:35 with Nathan Salem providing the last pass on this occasion.

It was Nell though who settled the score, first with his goal at 51:08 and then at 52:17 he bagged his hattrick to send the Wildcats fans home happy.

Nell was not done there though.

Swindon's star man got his fourth of the contest bang on the 54th minute for his fourth and Swindon's sixth to top off a sensational evening for him and the Wildcats.

Jaroslav Sarsok made it 6-4 at 57:08 but the night belonged to Swindon and, more specifically, the amazing Aaron Nell.
