ON-THE-BUZZER MATCH REPORT: Swindon Wildcats 1-2 MK Lightning

The Swindon Wildcats suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time since September as they were defeated 2-1 by MK Lightning on Wednesday night.

The loss at home to Milton Keynes follows a 7-4 humbling at Hull last Sunday and the Wildcats have now been on the wrong end of the scoreline in three of their last four encounters.

It was the away side who took the lead, too.

Adam Carr bundled in the opening goal of the game at 4:49 after assists by Edward Knaggs and Lewis Hook.

James Griffin made the Wildcats' Wednesday go from bad to worse at 22:23 with his goal that was assisted by Craig Scott and Michael Farn.

Head Coach Aaron Nell got the Wildcats back in the game at an increasingly chilly Link Centre at 30:05, but it was not enough as the score remained 2-1.

Swindon piled never-ending pressure on the Milton Keynes goal, but the imposing netminder Przemyslaw Odrobny was equal to everything but Nell's strike.
