MATCH REPORT: Guildford Flames 4-1 Swindon Wildcats

The Swindon Wildcats were unable to secure two four-point weekends on the trot as they went down to a 4-1 loss at the Guildford Flames on Sunday.

Guildford were the better side at the Spectrum, where Swindon have often struggled, and were worthy of their three-goal margin of victory.

Danny Meyers scored a shorthanded goal at 8:09 to give Guildford the early lead and Tom Duggan doubled their advantage early in the second period, at 21:08.

Tomasz Malasinski got Swindon back in the game early in the third, 40:49, which gave the Wildcats hope, but Guildford hit back as the away side pushed for the all-important leveller.

Jez Lundin scored to make it 3-1 at 49:42 and Ben Campbell completed the scoring at 51:51 which meant Guildford leapfrogged Swindon in the table as the Flames went up to fifth while Swindon dropped to sixth.
