Aaron Nell happy to manage from sidelines during injury
Swindon Wildcats player/head coach Aaron Nell has described managing from the sidelines a "learning curve".
Nell is currently sidelined with injury which rules of him out of getting time on the ice, but the experience of coaching strictly from the sidelines is one that Nell is taking in his stride.
"It is fine," he told Total Sport
"It is a learning curve for me. This is my third game (out injured this season). I have coached five games in my life from the bench.
"I find it easier doing it from the ice, but the boys have done really well this week, they have had a great week of practice and I think the light switches are starting to go.
"We know what we have to do to be succesful and we need to do that as much as possible.
"When I am on the ice I do watch a lot and I feel I do have a good grasp of the game.
"You can see more when you are off the ice, but sometimes you are not into the game as much. I will keep on improving and working hard, and so will the boys."
