GIFTED YOUNG PERFORMERS ANNOUNCED IN YOUNG ARTS SHOWCASE

The annual Young Arts Showcase is thrilled to announce their 2020 line-up. This year, the eclectic range of acts includes music from Swindon Academy and Swindon Music Service; films from Create Studios; contributions from Judith Hockaday School of Dance and Drama and Gemma Short School of Dance and Theatre Arts; performances from Prime Youth Theatre and much more!

Excitingly, young visual artists from MAMs Studio, Lydiard and Purton Scouts and Ridgeway School will also be exhibiting their artwork in the gallery for the duration of the evening.

The Young Arts Showcase takes place on Sunday 19 January 2020 at 7pm. This is the fifth year of the showcase, which is run in partnership between Prime Theatre and the Friends of Swindon Arts Centre (FoSAC). Alan Wrixon, Chairman of FoSAC said:

‘FoSAC are again delighted to be supporting Prime Theatre's Young Arts Showcase, which gives young people the chance to develop their skills on or behind the stage of a proper theatre. It also contributes to FoSAC's aim to introduce Swindon's hidden gem of a theatre to those who don't know it’

Former participant, Erin Fletcher, aged 17 said ‘Being a part of the Young Arts Showcase has been a brilliant opportunity for me to create and perform with a sense of freedom that you don’t get from other outlets’.
