£1 Million State-of-the-art Gym Opening at The Brunel Centre Next Week
Another step in the development of The Brunel shopping centre in Swindon Town Centre comes to fruition next week with the opening of a 24-hour, state-of-the-art, gym.
Buzz Gym, who have been operating gyms in Reading and Slough for the past 10 years, open at the centre on Monday 19 December 2016.
The 14,000 sq ft space has been fitted out with the latest equipment and is located on the ground floor of The Brunel Arcade. Access is 24-hours and members will be allocated free parking in Brunel North car park.
Kevin Gwilliam, General Manager of The Brunel, is delighted to welcome Buzz. Kevin said: “I’m really pleased that the gym will be opening next week. This facility is a great addition to the shopping centre and I know will be welcomed, and well-used, by those who live or work in the town. Having Buzz Gym here will bring benefits for our existing tenants. I know that already Buzz are working closely with both Monster Nutrition, who sell nutrition and fitness products, and Bonkers Play Centre who have recently opened a crèche at The Brunel.”
Buzz Gym offer low-cost, no-contract gym membership. The new gym has been fitted out with the latest state-oaf-the-art cardio, strength and multi-station equipment plus free weights. Members will also be able to benefit from a range of free studio-based classes including Les Mills, Zumba, Pilates, spin and yoga.
Buzz Gym Owner Adam Stowell is thrilled to be opening in the heart of Swindon. Adam said: “Our aim is to create a buzz in the club, from our luxury fit-out to our Live DJs and unique challenge zone, Buzz Gym brings a new fresh face of fitness to Swindon.”
Leon Mitchell, Gym Manager for Swindon, is looking forward to introducing his team of instructors to members. Leon said: “At Buzz Gym we pride ourselves on being a bit different to other fitness centres. All our staff are qualified personal trainers, at level 3 or above. We take the time to get to know our members personally so that we can help them make the lifestyle changes they are looking for. Normal monthly membership costs £19.99 but is currently £12.99 until 19 December.
The Brunel Centre is currently undergoing a major development, The Crossing, which will see food service space open on the upper mall in spring 2017 with access direct from Canal Walk. Upon completion The Crossing will incorporate charge points for mobile devices, free super-fast Wi-Fi plus refurbished customer toilets. It will be located in the area around the existing link bridge between Brunel Arcade and Brunel Plaza on the first floor of the shopping centre and will benefit from a direct link from Canal Walk via a new escalator entrance.
