The Total Guide to Team Spotlight: Bethany Fry

Our third Total Guide to Team Spotlight is all about our social media executive, Bethany Fry.

What has been your experience working with Total Guide to so far?

I have been with Total Guide to for over 5 years, having started when I was 18 doing a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship. I began as an assistant to the digital marketing team and I have worked my way up over the years, recently being promoted to Social Media Manager. I've been really lucky to have varied roles over the years, from working on social media accounts to organising events and working behind the scenes on our website.

What does your average day look like?

Every day is different here at Total! My day-to-day job is to essentially manage all of our social media channels, which include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn. My role is to create exciting new content as well as service our clients through social media and grow our audience in the local area. However, it's not just about the socials - I also get stuck in with adding content to our website, handling and sorting data, interacting with clients, helping to organise events, and much more.

What is your biggest accomplishments at Total Guide to so far?

This would probably have to be completing my Level 4 Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing. We were in the midst of Covid at the time, and so I had to just crack on with it - it was a bit stressful with everything going on in the world but 100% worth it!

Do you have any personal hobbies?

My biggest personal interest is photography. At weekends, you will find me visiting pretty Cotswold villages with my camera or heading to our local beauty spots to take photos. I also enjoy long walks and playing tennis.

We would love to know, what is your favourite food?

Hmmm that's a tough one! I am an absolute chocoholic and I have a real sweet tooth, but I do love a good burger and my favourite meal would have to be a roast dinner!

Where is your favourite place to visit in your local area?

I've done a lot of exploring in my local area of Wiltshire, but if I had to choose just one here in Swindon, it would have to be Lydiard Park. It is quite literally on my doorstep and is such a glorious green space that I visit regularly, whether it's for a walk, bike ride, to take photos or just to enjoy the scenery. I do love the Cotswolds too - particularly the villages of Castle Combe, Bibury, and Bourton on the Water.
