Ellis Recruitment, a specialist construction recruitment agency, has been purchased by Karen Davison and Lee Marner of C&D Group Ltd, in their first strategic joint recruitment venture, building upon an excellent recent twelve months for the recruitment firm.

Ellis Recruitment will continue operating out of Swindon, offering an in depth and personal service, placing white-collar construction professionals including; Directors, Commercial Managers, Contracts Managers, Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, Site Engineers and CAD technicians on both a Contract and Permanent basis.

Lee Marner commented, “I will continue to head up C&D Group as Chief Operating Officer and Karen will continue to head up her business interests, however Karen and I have been waiting to acquire an exceptional business that sat within the construction market place. We have witnessed an outstanding period of growth in recent years, and the acquisition of Ellis Recruitment offers us a great opportunity to expand into a new geographical area, and also to fully service the niche recruitment area around the Construction appointment market.”

After setting up the highly successful Ellis Recruitment two years ago, Natalie Ellis feels the time is right to diversify her career and follow other business interests. Natalie, who was well acquainted with Karen and Lee through their work at C&D Group explained, “I consider Karen and Lee the perfect team to take over my business because they have a fantastic reputation and we have very similar business ethics. To date Ellis Recruitment have specialised in white collar construction roles and now with C&D’s vastly experienced temporaries team they will also be able to supply blue collar construction workers.
