Welcome to Barbury Racecourse

Racing at Barbury ceased after the Tedworth fixture in April 2022, and there are no scheduled race meetings during the 2022-23 season. Sadly the operational cost burden on the Barbury Estate proved just too much to sustain racing. The curtain has now fallen on racing at Barbury for the forseeable future after 30 years of great entertainment.

Nevertheless, the three fixtures that comprised the Barbury season are busy finding alternative venues. The International meeting, unique among British fixtures in being open to licensed British and Irish trainers and Irish riders, is taking a breather whilst organisers marshall fresh plans.

We will bring you news on the other two fixtures when it is released.

Meantime, north of the M4, there are fixtures in Gloucestershire within easy reach by car and a new innovative offer for a Season Ticket to enjoy admission to all 17 fixtures in the West Mercian Area, spanning from South Gloucestershire, with meetings at Woodford and Didmarton, north as far as Eyton-on-Severn, as far west as Ludlow and east to Paxford. Great value at just £130. Follow the Tickets navigation to buy yours now.

Meantime, please keep visiting our news pages for articles of interest around Pointing folk in Wiltshire and the continuing success of trainers in the Marlborough area.
