Swindon Borough Council Localities

TGtS are proud to be working in conjunction with Swindon Borough Council and their ‘Locality Policy’ in bringing you TGtS Community.
Locality Policy? So what's all this about?...
Introduced on January 1st, the policy is designed to make decisions made by councillors and officers based more closely on the views express by Swindon’s many neighbourhoods.
The council believes that the best outcomes arise as a result of a positive relationship between them, partners and people, and this new policy is testament to that.
Six newly appointed Locality Lead Officers are already working closely with those in their area, aiming to show residents that they can get involved in the decisions and services that affect them most.
Over time, SBC are hopeful the initiative will help develop and nurture community-led initiatives and local enterprise, while encouraging more people to get involved in local decision making.
TGtS whole-heartedly supports this initiative, and the content and user involvement in our Community section is testiment to how well the people of this town work together.
Long may that continue!
