Swindon Shopmobility
Anyone with limited mobility, whether through permanent or temporary disability, illness, accident, or age, can use the scheme.
Persons under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult or carer. The service is there to provide help to people with mobility difficulties when they are using the facilities in Swindon's town centre. The unit is staffed and has a waiting area with accessible toilet facilities.
Available equipment includes:
- Mobility scooters
- Power chairs and Manual wheelchairs

- Monday – Friday 9am - 4.30pm à Last Equipment Hire: 3pm/Last Equipment Return Time: 4pm
- Saturday 9am - 3.30pm à Last Equipment Hire: 2pm/Last Equipment Return Time: 3pm
SERVICING and MAINTENANCE at Shopmobility
MOBILITY scooters and powered wheelchairs can now be serviced at Swindon Shopmobility. People will be able to schedule an annual service of a mobility scooter for £50 and, where appropriate, have use of a Shopmobility mobility scooter while their own is being serviced. All servicing will be completed by a fully qualified staff member with a servicing record provided on completion. Servicing will be completed within our building in the town centre and can be used by both members and non-members of Shopmobility. Manual Wheelchair services are also available at a cost of £20.
