Town add left-back on loan from Burton

Swindon Town have confirmed the signing of Burton Albion defender Frazer Blake-Tracy on a season long loan.

The 26-year-old left-back joins from the League One club having featured seven times for The Brewers during his first season at the Pirelli Stadium.

Blake-Tracy began his career with Non-League Dereham Town, before having spells with Lowestoft Town and Kings Lynn, before being signed by League One Peterborough United.

With this signing Swindon add to their options at left-back following injuries to Ellis Iandolo and new signing Reece Devine.

Speaking to club media, Blake-Tracy, said: “This was a really easy decision for me to come here and I can’t wait to get going.

“Scott Lindsey is building a really exciting team that has a lot of potential and I’m looking forward to being a part of that and playing regularly.

“I’ve played against Swindon before and heard really good things about the club, so to be given the chance to come here and play is massive for me.”

Head Coach Scott Lindsey added: “I’m delighted to get Frazer over the line. He’s got experience in the league above us which will be invaluable in helping push us forward.

“With a few injuries to our left side, he’ll add extra strength in this area and give our squad more balance.”

Blake-Tracy also has experience of earning promotions having won the play-offs to get into the National League North whilst at Kings Lynn and to the Championship at Peterborough.

Sandro Di Michele, said of the new addition “Frazer is a great signing for us and a really important one. He comes here with great calibre and a lot of experience in League One.

“He brings with him defensive solidity, a real energy going forward and he’s a really good personality. He also knows what it’s like to get promoted having done so with Peterborough, so experience like this can only have a positive impact.”
