1-4

9:36PM

79' The goal was a quick move from Swindon with Jonny Williams driving through the heart of midfield before laying it off to McKirdy. He still has tons of work to do and sprits through before slotting past Steffen from a tight angle.

64' The free-kick is worked to Conroy down the right and Swindon have a corner. Reed takes it but the delivery is poor and City break through De Bruyne. Kesler-Hayden does brilliantly and wins the ball before Swindon then break with a long ball up to Simpson. He gets into the box and goes down under pressure but no penalty is given.

Ward dives the right way and saves Jesus' effort from the spot.

0-3

9:17PM

61' MAN CITY PENALTY

0-3

9:17PM

60' I hate to say it but Ward has to be largely at blame for that goal. He got his positioning all wrong and Gundogan made Swindon pay the price.

0-3

9:15PM

58' GOAL MAN CITY

Gundogan gets his goal as his free-kick wrongfoots Ward and City lead three-nil.

0-3

9:14PM

57' De Bruyne has gone down after receiving an elbow to the face from Ellis Iandolo He is receiving treatment. A free-kick has been given but no card shown.

0-2

9:10PM

52' Cancelo brings down McKirdy to the right of the box and a free-kick is given. Reed looks to put his delivery across the face of goal but Steffen is alert and collects well.

0-2

9:07PM

49' Joao Cancelo fouls Reed just outside the Swindon box and the Robins are able to clear their lines.

9:02PM

45' Back underway at the County Ground.

HALF-TIME: Swindon Town 0-2 Manchester City

8:44PM

44' Silva wins Man City a free-kick deep in the Swindon half. De Bruyne puts the ball across the face of goal and Swindon must now defend a corner. They do and the Robins can rest easy again as a shot from Jesus goes wide.

0-2

8:42PM

40' There is just five minutes left and City are looking very comfortable in this game so far. Swindon have had a few half-chances but up against the Premier League leaders you can see the difference in quality. Swindon will be hoping for a much more positive second half.

0-2

8:39PM

39' The free kick doesn't produce anything but Swinond are growing in confidence again and win a corner. Reed puts the ball into the box but City clear with a powerful header.

0-2

8:38PM

38' Simpson wins a foiul on the halfway line after he is manhandled by Ruben Dias.

0-2

8:36PM

36' Today's official attendance is announced as 14,753 with 2318 away fans.

0-2

8:33PM

33' A corner is put into the Swindon box with Rodri left free in the box but he puts his header into a crowd of players before Kesler-hayden clears.

0-2

8:32PM

31' McKirdy has Swindon's best chance of the game as City give the ball away 30 yards out. The keeper is back-tracking but McKirdy's chip lacks power and the keeper collects.

0-2

8:30PM

30' I said earlier that Swindon were being their own worst enemy and they were made to pay the price then. A pass from Ward into Reed who was under immense pressure was won by Jesus with the Brazilian bursting down on goal before easily scoring leaving the keeper with no chance.

0-2

8:28PM

28' GOAL MAN CITY

Swindon get caught playing it out from the back and Jesus puts City two-nil up.

0-2

8:27PM

26' City play a long ball forward and Cole Palmer go's down in the box but that was never a penalty.

0-1

8:26PM

25' Swindon have a chance here as Lyden was fouled down near the City corner flag. Reed puts a ball into the box but it comes back out and Swindon eventually go back to their keeper. You feel Swindon won't get many chances in this game so need to be willing to shoot when within range.

0-1

8:24PM

24' That goal seems to have slightly shaken Swindon with too many passes going astray and the Robins struggling against the press of Man City.

0-1

8:22PM

21' The atmosphere has died off inside the County Ground and I have to say that is slightly disappointing given the occasion. Swindon are being their own worst enemy as Hunt loses it playing out from defence and quick play sees Jesus pass to De Bruyne inside the box with the Belgians eventual shot saved well.

0-1

8:18PM

18' City go on the hunt for a second as Bernardo Silva latches onto a ball over the top. He is given offside but it doesn't matter anyway as the shot was over the bar.

0-1

8:16PM

15' The goal came as Cole Palmer blistered past Iandolo with a few stepovers before putting a delightful ball across the face of the Swindon goal. The Robins have played well up until now and mustn't let that goal deter them.

0-1

8:14PM

14' GOAL MAN CITY

Bernardo Silva puts City into the lead.

0-1

8:13PM

12' City win their third corner of the game as Iandolo tackles Kyle Walker. De Bruyne puts the ball into the box and Swindon clear with Lyden trying to find McKirdy but the attacker is let down by his touch. City then attack well with Cancelo eventually getting a shot off that is watched wide by Ward.

0-0

8:08PM

8' Jesus looks to get round the outside of Hayden but is denied as the full-back wins Swindon a goal-kick.

0-0

8:07PM

7' The build-up eventually creates a half chance for Swindon as the ball is worked out to Iandolo with the full-back putting in a dangerous cross that a sprinting Lyden can;t quite get his head to.

0-0

8:06PM

5' Kaine Kesler-Hayden wins a free-kick in the Swindon box under pressure from De Bruyne. The Robins then break through McKirdy and Simpson before turning back and playing the ball across midfield before going back to Ward. Patient build-up play from the Robins.

0-0

8:05PM

4' City are dominating the ball as you would expect but Swindon are keeping their shape well and being positive on the counter-attack. Man City currently have every single outfield player in the Swindon half as Bernardo Silva shoots but his effort is over and into the Town End.

0-0

8:02PM

2' Swindon get their first touch as Simpson looks to break with Ake eventually covering to clear. Ben Garner asked his players to be brave and they are being just that so far.

0-0

8:01PM

1' Palmer takes a shot in the box as City work it forward but Conroy blocks with his head for a corner. The ball is whipped in but the Robins clear.

0-0

8:00PM

KICK-OFF: City get us underway and will attack the Town End.

0-0

7:58PM

The players are out and we are almost ready to go.

7:56PM

We are just 5 minutes away from kick-off inside the County Ground. Some noise is starting to build inside the County Ground for this historic match. Swindon Town beat Man City 2-1 in the FA Cup the last time these two teams met in the tournament, however, the Robins also endured their heaviest ever defeat losing 10-1 in the cup against City in 1930.

7:48PM

So the players have just gone in down the tunnel and the next time we see them will be for kick-off. The stadium is packing out as fans take their seats. Just some comparison for you whilst we build-up to kick off. Swindon Town's starting line has 2 loan players in it. Manchester City's on the other hand has £428 million worth of players...

7:43PM

The teams are currently still out warming up in front of us and we have just under 20 minutes until kick off. The nerves will certainly be setting in but adrenaline will soon kick in and these Swindon Town players know they have the biggest job of their careers on their hands.

7:36PM

So what can we expect from tonight's clash with both teams naming their strongest possible teams. Ben Garner's side are used to dominating possession in their league games but will be without the ball for large period of tonight. Swindon must not get frustrated at one another and Ben Garner insisted his players need to be brave if they are to compete in this game. In contrast, City will be looking to take an early lead and we expect Bernardo Silva to be playing as the false nine with Jesus on the wing.

7:26PM

After a mass Covid outbreak at Manchester City, many expected Manchester City to name a weakened team, however it is anything but that with Kevin De Bruyne, Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva all start.
