Snapped: Wildcats Win Christmas Thriller On Penalties
Clad from head to toe in their special Christmas edition kit, Swindon Wildcats took on Bracknell Bees on Saturday, in what was to be one of the most dramatic games of ice hockey SN5 has ever seen.
Leading comfortably at 7-1 to the good entering the third and final period, Wildcats experienced somewhat of an implosion on the grandest of scales, conceding eight goals and scoring just one, taking the tie into overtime at 8-8.
With overtime still not enough to separate the two sides, penalty shots were required to determine the victor. Thankfully Wildcats were able to keep their cool better than their counterparts, and took the spoils 9-8 after a decisive Adam Harding winner.
