Snapped: Supermarine v Yate

On Tuesday the 12th of August, Swindon Supermarine FC faced off against Yate Town on their home turf. TGtS was on the ground at Webb's Wood stadium to snap the game as it happened...

Yate Town continued their 100% record in the league by beating Swindon Supermarine at The Webbswood Stadium. Ross Staley's strike minutes before the break gave Yate all the confidence they needed and they certainly showed it with three second half goals from Jake Jackson, Jordan Ricketts and finally James Harmer completing the rout.

Despite being defeated, the Supermarines were a good opponent for Yate, as they really made them work for their victory. Yate's first goal was after a 44 minute deadlock, which included near-misses from both teams. Admittedly, the second half of the game wasnt exactly something to shout about from the Marines' point of view, but they carried on playing giving Yate a bit of a fight.

Hopefully next time the Supermarines will have a bit of luck on their side to go with the skills. Fingers crossed.
