RIDER RATINGS: Swindon Robins (66) v (24) Ipswich Witches

SWINDON ROBINS recorded the biggest league win of the 2019 Premiership season last night as they swept aside the Ipswich Witches 66-24 to go top of the league standings. Total Sport Swindon's Ryan Walker gives his Robins rider ratings following the action.

1. Jason Doyle (C) (8.5)

Managed to take victory on the fourth re-run of heat one after gating well and never looking under pressure from the chasing Ipswich riders. Took another win in his next ride to make it four consecutive race maximums by heat seven. Dropped just two points all evening as Swindon recorded the League's biggest victory of the season. A great performance from the skipper.

2. Adam Ellis (8.5)

Touched the tapes with his helmet at the start line in heat one and was subsequently excluded. Bounced back with a great ride in heat six to breeze past Allen and Pieszczek down the back-straight to join Doyle for another heat maximum. Took another race win in heat ten finishing ahead of both Allen and King before partnering Doyle for a 5-1 maximum in heat 15.

3. Rasmus Jensen (10)

Looked super fast as always and earned Swindon their first race maximum of the evening in heat three after flying out the gates and breaking away out front with Musielak. Fired up the inside from the off in heat five and excelled out front in the clean air to easily take the chequered flag. Finished with a paid maximum having made the racing look easy against an Ipswich team low on confidence. Jensen once again proved his worth to this Swindon Robins side.

4. Tobiasz Musielak (8.5)

Was like a rocket out the gates in heat three and rode well with Jensen to get Swindon their first 5-1 of the evening. Swept around the outside of Lawson and Harris in his next outing to join teammate Jensen out front as Swindon increased their lead with another maximum. Combined well again with Danish teammate Jensen in heat nine to record Swindon's sixth heat maximum but unfortunately missed the opportunity to get a paid maximum after touching the tapes in heat fourteen and being excluded.

5. Troy Batchelor (10)

Timed his start to perfect in his first ride of the night and looked super quick out front as the Swindon heat leader took the win. Stuck to the outside line in heat seven and managed to get enough speed to take first ahead of Ipswich's Danny King. Looked cool all evening and never seemed under any pressure as he rode to another maximum in Swindon kevlars. Batchelor is enjoying arguably the best speedway of his career at the minute and long may it continue.

6. Ellis Perks (7)

Dumped the clutch when gating in heat one and was left with too much ground to make up as he finished last. Nearly got squeezed out by Piesczek in his second ride before muscling his way past the Ipswich rider to take the win. Briefly challenged King in heat seven but couldn’t quite get enough speed to pass the former British Champion and finished third to take a point. An impressive evening of riding saw Perks earn five points in Swindon's league victory.

7. Claus Vissing (9.5)

Having come in for justifiable criticism since signing for the Robins, Vissing silenced his critics with a big 10+1 as Swindon went top of the Premiership table. Passed Edward Kennet down the back-straight in his opening ride and mounted a brief challenge on Pieszczek but had to settle for third place. Improved again in his second ride by partnering Batchelor for a fantastic 5-1 after holding off the challenge of Danny King. A great performance from the Swindon reserve and now Vissing must back this performance up in future meetings.
