RIDER RATINGS: Swindon Robins (65) v (25) Peterborough Panthers

SWINDON ROBINS concluded their programmed home meetings of the season with a 5-star 65-25 victory over the Peterborough Panthers last night. Total Sport Swindon's Ryan Walker gives his Robins rider ratings following the action.

1. Jason Doyle (C) (10)

Gated well and flew to the front in heat one. Had to dig deep in his next ride but showcased his skills as one of the Worlds best riders to overtake both Nicholls and Ostergaard. Continued his evening in fine style to secure yet another paid maximum as Swindon produced another 5-star performance.

2. Adam Ellis (9)

Dumped the clutch and messed up in his start in heat one but recovered well to overtake Ty Proctor down the back straight on the second lap. Chased Tungate hard but couldn’t find a way past and had to settle for third. Had to come from the back again in his next ride and rode superbly to first overtake Ostergaard before flying past Scott Nicholls. Dropped only two points all evening as Swindon ran riot at the Abbey.

3. Rasmus Jensen (8.5)

Gate and go in his first ride and never looked back. Endured a brief first turn tussle with Tungate in heat five but eventually had to settle for second place behind the Peterborough rider. Looked super quick as always and never seemed too troubled when out on track. Finished his night with an impressive ten points.

4. Nick Morris (7.5)

Returning in Swindon kevlars for the first time since his winter departure to Wolverhampton, Nick Morris endured a mixed evening of riding. Looked a bit off the pace in his opening ride after chasing Charles Wright hard but couldn’t pass the British Champion. Finished third behind teammate Rasmus Jensen in his next ride before rounding off his evening with two unbeaten rides. Scored 7+1.

5. Troy Batchelor (10)

Flew out the gates in heat four and never looked back. Perfect out the gates in his next ride again but had to team ride well with Perks to keep the Peterborough riders at bay as the Robins took their fourth heat maximum. Looked in super form all evening and remained unbeaten from five rides to take a dazzling paid maximum.

6. Ellis Perks (8.5)

Flew out the gates in his opening ride and was uncatchable as Peterborough’s riders struggled to get to grips with the Abbey track. Sensational again in his next ride to display some excellent team riding with Batchelor and bag Swindon yet another 5-1. Finished last in his third ride before bouncing back to partner Morris for another maximum in heat 14. Perks has been consistent riding for Swindon but recent performances have seen a big improvement in the reserve.

7. Claus Vissing (7.5)

Claus Vissing was the one rider at Swindon who fans were wary of after a difficult introduction to Premiership racing saw the 33-year-old struggle for points. However recent high-point scoring performances have seen the number seven cement his place in the Robins side.

Backed up his Monday night performance by scoring Swindon’s first heat maximum of the evening with Ellis Perks in heat two. Replicated the same form in his next ride after overtaking Jason Garrity up the inside on lap three to take second place with teammate Batchelor taking the victory. Scored just one point in his third ride before crashing out in his last heat of the night. Scored 5+2.
