Rider Ratings: Swindon Robins (55) v (35) Belle Vue Aces

SWINDON ROBINS produced their best performance off the season in a 55-35 demolishment of current league leaders the Belle Vue Aces at the Abbey Stadium earlier tonight. Total Sport Swindon's Ryan Walker gives his Robins rider ratings as Swindon made it back-to-back victories.

1.) Jason Doyle (C) (7.5)

Gated well in his first ride to beat Fricke and Berge In heat one. Tussled with Bjerre for the lead briefly in heat six before fading. Had to time ride with Jensen in heat ten to hold off the challenge of Bewley and put Swindon firmly in control. Wasn’t quite at his very best tonight but recorded some crucial wins to help Swindon to victory. Still ended his night with 9+3.

2.) Rasmus Jensen (10)

Rasmus Jensen has been nothing short of sensational since his arrival at the club. Picked up speed coming out of turn 2 and shot under the inside of Fricke and Berge to join Doyle for Swindon’s first heat maximum of the evening.

Chased fellow countryman Bjerre hard in his second outing but couldn’t quite get the better of the Aces rider. Went off 15m in heat 8 after touching the tapes and produced the ride of the night to get past Lidsey before then chasing hard and sweeping round The outside of Berge to steal the victory on the line. Team rode brilliantly with Doyle in heat ten to keep Bewley at bay to make it three consecutive heat wins and help earn Swindon victory.

Didn't score a maximum but deserves a 10 out of 10 rating purely on his outstandingly brave overtakes.

3.) Tobiasz Musielak (N/A)

4.) Adam Ellis (9)

Quick out the gates and outmuscled Steve Worrall down the back straight to earn Swindon victory in heat three but was beaten in his next outing after struggling to find the pace needed to get close to Fricke in heat five as the Australian went on to set a new lap record.

Team rode superbly with Jensen in heat nine to earn Swindon their second 5-1 maximum and produced another impressive performance against impressive opposition. Scored 12+1 on the night.

5.) Troy Batchelor (10)

Maximum man Troy Batchelor once again stunned the Abbey Stadium with a sensational 15 point maximum.

Got the drop up the inside of Kenneth Bjerre in heat six and didn’t look back as he set a new lap record of 61.05 that was then beaten by Fricke in the next heat.

Slow out the gates in his next ride but used his track knowledge and speed to get up the inside of Bewley down the backstraight before going on to record his second heat win. Never seemed unfazed regardless of his position on track and looked a different calibre of racer to his opposite riders. Batchelor is arguably producing some of the best riding of his career at the moment and long may it continue.

6.) Ellis Perks (6.5)

Chased Jaimon Lindsey hard in heat one but couldn’t get past the Australian and finished. Didn’t score in second ride when replacing Musiela despite trying hard. Looked comfortable ahead of Worrall In heat seven before losing shape coming out the fourth bend allowing the Aces rider to easily pass. Perks has impressed since his arrival at the club and the reserve rider probably deserved more than the three points he concluded the meeting with.

7.) Paul Starke (5)

Partnered Perks well in his first ride of the night and held off Wells to get third. Took too wide a line in heat five to allow Berge through and subsequently conceded his position. Finished the evening with 3+1.
