PRESS CONFERENCE LIVE: Swindon Town V Doncaster

Welcome to Total Sport Swindon's presss conference as we are joined by Steve Mildenhall to preview tomorrow's League One away fixture at Doncaster.

2:10PM

That concludes today's press conference.

2:05PM

Smith on Doncaster:

They are one of the best teams in the division at passing the ball but we have no reason to be scared of them. There isn't much between the top and bottom teams in division.

2:05PM

Smith on table position:

We aren't worried. A couple of wins and we can be in the mid-table position. This is a squad that is still gelling and a lot of players are coming back from injury. This is a squad that is progressing and can get better.

2:04PM

Smith on Sheridan:

We are starting to get the right balance in the side and we are now creating some opportunities but just not finishing them. We need that little bit of luck.

2:03PM

Jonny Smith on season assessment:

If I finished the chances I've been given then I would score a lot more goals. I'm not finishing the chances that are being created for me but that will change.

2:02PM

Jonny Smith on return to the pitch:

It was good to be back involved and I feel the lads have been playing well but just haven't taken our chances. Stepping out and watching it has been interesting, we just haven't had that bit of luck. The thing this season is that we concede early and team's then just sit back. We need to be more solid in the first half-hour even if we are on top.

2:00PM

Steve Mildenhall has now left us, Jonny Smith has now joined us.

1:51PM

Mildenhall on Christmas period:

It is what it is and once we get this period out of the way it runs Saturday to Saturday mainly. It is the same for everyone up and down the country and on paper you look at the teams we face and we are going into these games as underdogs which gives us more freedom. We believe we can get a result out of anything.

1:49PM

Mildenhall on Doncaster:

They are a very good footballing side if you give them the opportunity to play football. We have highlighted their strengths and also their weaknesses. You look at this league and if you can get some positive results then you will see this snowball effect start to happen.

1:47PM

Mildenhall on Joe Fryer:

We all take up this position as a keeper knowing exactly what you are getting yourself into. That goal was just something he has to deal with and he is a great personality. He has come back from a horrific injury and 99% of people would've thrown the towel in.

1:46PM

Mildenhall on Kovar:

"When he came here he was a quiet lad and is learning every single day and every time he is on the pitch. No goalkeeper enjoys conceding and keepers live their life on keeping clean-sheets. He is a resilient young lad and is always massively positive."

1:44PM

Mildenhall on players coming back:

"The players that are coming back and have come back have had massive influences on this team before which will give ourselves a better chance to do well."

1:43PM

Mildenhall on performances:

"It's the fine lines that are letting us down. Where you got away with things last year you don't in this League and you only have to look at Saturday to see that. We are encouraged by recent performances but you can't feel sorry for yourself. We will roll our sleeves up and keep working hard."

1:40PM

We are joined by Steve Mildenhall to preview tomorrow's match against Doncaster.
