FA CUP PLAYER RATINGS: Swindon Town (0) v (1) Cheltenham Town

SWINDON TOWN exited the FA Cup at the first-round as Cheltenham Town secured a one-nil away victory at the County Ground in tonight's cup replay. Total Sport Swindon's Ryan Walker gives his Robins player ratings following the cup loss.

GK: Steven Benda (7)

Could do little to stop the goal from Alex Addai and endured a quiet evening between the sticks.

RB: Rob Hunt (5.5)

Found himself in some good goalscoring positions in the first half but his resulting shots were too weak to significantly test Scott Flinders. Was too easily brushed aside by Cheltenham's Alex Addai in the build-up to the first goal as the winger rifled his shot past Benda.

CB: Zeki Fryers (5.5)

Gave away possession cheaply in the first minute which put Swindon under pressure but had littlwe else to do defensively in the first half. Took too long on the ball at times and his inaccuracy with long range balls created problems at the back for Swindon on countless occasions.

CB: Mathieu Baudry (6.5)

Played a crucial role in stopping Alex Addai from opening the scoring after blocking the wingers close range-shot in the initial stages of the first-half and did well defensively throughout. Barr the opening goal, Cheltenham presented very little attacking threat but Baudry remained alert at all times.

LB: Ellis Iandolo (6)

Back in the team for the second consecutive match after Dion Donohue's contract woes. Linked up well with Jaiyesimi in attack and got back well in defence when required.

CM: Danny Rose (6)

Passed through the first-half going largely unnoticed as he broke up play in the middle of the park. Didn't contribute much to Swindon's attacking play but was a solid guard protecting the Town defence. Subsituted in the second half as Swindon went in search of an equaliser.

LCM: Michael Doughty (4)

Endured an evening full of mixed fortunes as his creative attacking play was far outweighed by his disappointing efforts in front of goal. Should've put Swindon ahead with a penalty in the 2nd minute but his shot was weak and easily read by Flinders. Whilst in the second-half he had a chance to repent for his earlier miss after being played through for a one-v-one by Yates only for his shot to hit the post. Doughty had the opportunity to send Swindon through to the second-round but lacked the quality needed in front of goal.

RCM: Jordan Lyden (6.5)

Performed the solid job that he has done so often for Swindon Town this season by breaking up play in central midfield and offering a calmness in the Swindon engine room. Got on the ball frequently but a lack of movement up front restricted him from creating much in attack. A good performance from the midfielder but Swindon couldn't do enough to avoid defeat.

RW: Kaiyne Woolery (4)

Has been praised by Richie Wellens for his recent performances but did little to impress against Cheltenham. Lost the ball on countless occasions when found in promising positions but cut a flustered figure and was let down by his decision making. A poor all round performance from Woolery.

ST: Jerry Yates (6)

Looked lost at times without his strike partner Eoin Doyle, but still had goal-scoring opportunities. Rose well to meet the ball in the 29th minute but the resulting header agonisingly bounced off the post to deny Swindon a goal. Dropped deep at times to try and get on the ball but couldn't provide the breakthrough needed.

LW: Diallang Jaiyesimi (7)

Won Swindon a penalty in the first minute after being brought down in the box and created problems all evening for the Cheltenham defence. Danced with the ball at his feet on the wing and breezed past opposition defenders with his pace and skill wreaking havoc in the final third. Tested Flinders with some good shots from range but couldn't force an equaliser.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

Sidy Sanokho (6)

Replaced Danny Rose with 15 minutes to go but did little to influence the match. Broke play up in defence but offered little attacking threat.

Scott Twine (N/A)

Came on with little time left and failed to make a significant contribution.

Tyler Reid (N/A)

Introduced with minutes left and Wellens later revealed he will go on loan to Wrexham.
