57' HOW IS IT NOT IN THE NET?!

Swindon have a magnitude of chances as crosses in from either wings wreak havoc in the box. Hope goes close to scoring with his header on goal, Woolery also went close but couldn't quite reach the ball.

HALF-TIME

Swindon Town 2-0 Port Vale

3:48PM

46' That goal was beautifully worked by Swindon's attackers. Doughty's through ball for Hunt split the Vale defence and his simple ball back across the six-yard box was an easy tap-in for Hope on his debut.

40' GOAL SWINDON

Jaiyesimi's shot from the edge of the box takes a horrible deflection and is into the back of the net.

1-0

3:35PM

33' Stop in play after a bad challenge from Will Atkinson on Anthony Grant sees the referee show a yellow card to the Vale player. Home fans certainly not happy and were calling for red.

31' Woolery has the ball at his feet central of goal from the edge of the Vale box. Nothing is on for him so he attempts to shoot on his left-foot from outside the box. The shot is saved well by Brown who tips behind for a corner that comes to nothing.

3:31PM

29' This game is just starting to warm up a little bit as Doughty's long-ball upfield is chased by Woolery. He's strong to hold off his opponent before firing a shot off that goes into the sidenetting.

Caddis take it instead, attempts to chip to back-post but Vale clear.

Clearance falls as far as Jaiyesimi on the left-wing, he dances with the ball at his feet before ebentually cutting inside and stinging the palms of Brown from close-range. Scrambled clearance sees the ball roll out to Edmonds-Green who shoots on the turn with his shot clipping the crossbar. 0-0

3:26PM

25' Swindon win a free-kick 25-30 yards from goal. Doughty looks to be lining this one up.

3:23PM

22' Swindon try and create an opening down the left-wing as Hallam Hope cuts back inside on the edge of the Vale box before unleashing a shot that is blocked well and eventually cleared.

3:14PM

12' Woolery is playing through the middle of Vale's centre-back partnership and looks to have gotten away from the duo as he latches onto Isgrove's through ball. But... the linesman has his flag up for offside.

KICK-OFF: Port Vale get the match underway.

0-0

3:00PM

The players are out and kick-off is just moments away.

This is set to be a stonker of a clash between two promotion chasing sides.

2:48PM

If you need reminding of what happened in the reverse fixture, a fired-up Port Vale side inflicted Swindon's first defeat in ten games back in December. Goals from Scott Burgess and Jake Taylor saw Vale record a 2-0 win over Town.

John Askey's side have only lost once in their last eight games, and are knocking on the door of a play-off spot - the Valiants currently sit four points adrift of the top seven.

2:41PM

Hallam Hope joined Swindon on an undisclosed fee from Carlisle during the week, and it will be interesting to see how the 25-year-old does on his Town debut after struggling for form so far this season.

Hope has been a target for Wellens since the summer, and it's easy to see why the Swindon manager was so keen to sign him. 14 goals last season shows just how potent Hope can be, and this figure is even more impressive due to Hope not being a natural striker.
