MATCH REPORT: Swindon Supermarine 1-0 Wimborne

A singular goal from Connor Waldon got Swindon Supermarine the three points against Wimborne on Saturday.

It was a cagey start at Webb's Wood stadium with the first major chance coming on the 15-minute mark but Josh Parsons' shot did not trouble the opposition keeper too much, and the Wimborne stopper tipped it over the bar.

Wimborne had a good opportunity with 35 minutes played when striker Dan Cann only had to the keeper to beat but he failed to live up to his name and, this time, Dan couldn't as he fired over the crossbar.

Five minutes later Parsons tested the Wimborne keeper again and he was equal to the effort as the low shot was tipped around the post.

Waldon, one minute before half-time, broke the deadlock with a driven finish to make it 1-0 to Supermarine.

Parsons had a third go at goal, this time on the hour mark, but again he was off target and could only find the stands with his shot and the score stayed 1-0.
