Charlton Athletic offer contract to Swindon Town captain Nathan Thompson

Reports suggest that London-based club Charlton Athletic have offered Swindon Town captain Nathan Thompson a deal.

Thompson is out of contract at Swindon in the summer, which means he can leave on a free transfer if he does not sign a new deal at the County Ground.

Swindon have offered Thompson fresh terms, although the club have not revealed how long the potential contract is for, and Thompson has plenty of other suitors.

As well as Charlton, Ipswich, QPR Portsmouth and Rotherham are interested in the 26-year-old.

Thompson's deal at Swindon expires on June 30.
