March Talk with Jamie McAnsh

It’s March! The first month of Spring and the month the clocks have just gone forward so it's lighter nights and less time asleep! What's the world of business looking like this week? Today we're talking to Jamie McAnsh who is a director of See No Bounds which is a business directory based all around an online business community.

How is March looking for you in your business?
March kicked off well here at See No bounds. We picked up the keys to our new office in Cardiff and work is underway to get it fully ready to become our new base. The idea of moving from a lockdown home office into a designated space is very exciting and needed for the production and wellness of the team. See No Bounds has also grown in size, and we are very proud to welcome a new director and a new partner into the company with the vision of growth in mind.

We have invested into a few improvements to the platform and added a few services and capabilities to offer our members a great service and experience. We love seeing people grow and engage, that is why we have created an interactive platform and it is amazing to see our members engage and grow.

Are you taking part in any wider events or business collaborations this month?
See No Bounds is literally at the heart of collaboration, our business is built around the members by the members for the members. ,

We have recently collaborated with First For Help, a company that offers bespoke VA services to their clients. This partnership has created a new business opportunity for us where we can offer a new additional service to our community, virtual office solutions, meaning companies can use our address as their Cardiff based office.

Our next big collaboration is with a film editing business, we are looking to build a custom studio for creating videos and podcasts. This will be a fantastic addition to what we have already on offer, and it will also see a new business grow to success.

Did you know that March 18 was Awkward Moments Day? Can you share any awkward moments with us in business or life?
To be honest there is no distinctive moment that I can recall. However, I had many awkward moments when we first came out of lockdown. It was like the whole world forgot how to be.

I would meet someone, and I wouldn't know what to do, they would be the same and then handshaking became a strange version of rock, paper, scissors.

You would go into a room or building, and it was masks on or off? You would forget yours as it was in the car. Also being so close to the border with different rules between England & Wales made things a bit more difficult and you can guarantee I would get this all wrong.

Fortunately, things are starting to gain some normality and these little moments will soon be behind us.

March was also Mother’s Day (March 27) was this an important day for your business?
We work with several great businesses that specialise in clothing, jewellery and gifts. We work closely with these companies to help with exposure and engagement from around the community so for them Mother's Day was very important as a key selling 'moment' for them.

Would you like to share your thoughts about your mother, a mother figure in your life or your life with a mother or as a mother?
My mother is an incredible role model when it comes to how I live my life but also with how I run my company. She has installed the belief of treating people well, giving respect and the difference between right and wrong. This has been an incredible foundation to how I live and work.

Customer service is all around how you treat people and giving respect. My mother's 'get back up' attitude has also rubbed off on me and that constant get up and go mentality has always given me a great drive.

Have you got any special offers you’d like to mention?
See No Bounds are offering all readers this month a special spring discount and you can utilise this for any listing that is a paid membership. Please just use code SPRING30 upon checkout. This offer will be available until the end of April.
