June Talk with Paul Day

It’s June already and we’re halfway through the year – it’s also officially the first month of Summer and this week there's Jubilee fever in the air.

What does June mean for you and your business? Today we're talking to Paul Day who is the technical director of Berkshire-based company Filestream Ltd, of Wokingham which offers a secure and safe document management system for responsive and agile access, and to protect against hacking.

JUNE is the first month of Summer – what will you be doing this summer in your role?
I have five business shows to attend in Wales, London and Birmingham so I'll be getting around!

What are your personal plans for this summer?
I am going to the south of France to visit friends who live there and I have not been able to see them for a couple of years due to Covid19 and the pandemic.

June is often associated in nature with growth and abundance – what are your plans for growth?
We are looking forward to working with our new publicity media company and also putting different marketing strategies into practice.

As we hit the mid point of 2022– which one business has really supported or helped you over the last quarter?
It has to be Fujitsu PFU - for their ongoing support to our brand and to our offering.

Have you got any events planned for the coming months which you’d like to mention?
We are sponsors of The Great British Expos and have workshops at each event in 2022 where we speak to people about document security in their business or organisation. We have shows coming up in Birmingham, Swindon and Manchester so do drop me a line and we can meet up - I can be reached at [email protected]

June 1 to 7 this year is Volunteers Week – do you volunteer?
I volunteer for the Royal Voluntary Service where I have completed over 13,000 hours throughout the Covid19 pandemic, collecting prescriptions and doing shopping for vulnerable people and supporting the NHS in vaccination roll-outs in numerous destinations in Reading and Slough. At Christmas I do charity work dressed as Father Christmas visiting local groups like Rainbows.

June 30 is Social Media Day – what does social media mean to you and your business? What are your favourite social media platforms?
Although I have been on social media for a long time, I'm just starting to learn more about how it can help our business and our brand.

Have you got any summer services or special offers you’d like to mention?
I'm able to offer free document security audits to discuss GDPR and can be reached at [email protected]

And finally:
A useful saying throughout my life has been 'tomorrow is going to be a good day'.
