Fans of the Royal International Air Tattoo have a treat in store this summer as the world’s largest military airshow announces a weekend of virtual flying displays, interviews and never seen before footage. The Virtual Air Tattoo is aimed at giving viewers a flavour of the real event planned for 2020.

The Virtual Air Tattoo will be a free to view live-streamed event on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July, with a minimum of four hours of live, unique, video content aired on each day. It will showcase military aviation in a way viewers will not be able to access elsewhere, as the Royal International Air Tattoo has done for nearly 50 years.

The Brunel Shopping Centre will reopen on the 15th June with social distancing measures in place!

A regional, drive-through COVID19 testing centre has opened for at least the next six months at the Wroughton Park & Ride site.

Capable of testing more than 2,000 people a day, anyone (including children under 5) with coronavirus symptoms can be tested.

The Government has also set up a home-testing service for those who are unable to drive. The test kits can be delivered to your door so you can test yourself without leaving the house.

Anyone experiencing a new, continuous cough, a high temperature, or a loss of or change in their normal sense of smell or taste, can book a test on the NHS website here.

Wood Fired Pizza at Marsh Farm Hotel!

"My Name is Tom Will and I’m an 18 y/o Classically Trained Chef who’s been living in RWB for 11 years.

With the help of my Dad, who is an aircraft technician in the RAF, I have converted a vintage Rice Horse box into a mobile pizza kitchen - a journey that’s taken us almost 2 years...

Unfortunately, due to the Corona Virus, the 25 events I had scheduled have all been been cancelled...

This was a massive blow to my new Business but I’m not letting it hold me back!

I’ve been serving authentic, wood fired pizza to an increasing portion of Bassett each week but would now like to open to everyone!

With the kind permission of Marsh Farm Hotel I’ll be offering a social distanced pizza collection service from the hotel starting on Saturday 06/06/2020 from 4pm - 9pm each week!

Forestry England has today announced that Westonbirt, The National Arboretum will be reopening to the public on Wednesday 3 June at 1pm.

However, in order to protect visitors, staff, volunteers and the local community, the arboretum has made some important changes to its day-to-day operations, by limiting the number of people it can welcome at any one time and introducing a new booking system.

For the foreseeable future, visitors and members of the Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum will need to pre-book their tickets online before they come to site. Standard pricing will apply, however Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum will be able to access their own tickets for free when they provide their membership number. If they wish to purchase additional tickets for others, standard charges will apply.

When booking their tickets, visitors and members will be asked to select an arrival time-slot. Time-slots will be every 20-mins, between 9am – 4:20pm every-day, with final entry at 4:40pm. Once in the arboretum visitors can stay for as long as they like, but visitors should be aware that the arboretum closes at 5pm.

South Cerney Outdoor are offering a limited opening of Pay & Play from this Saturday.

They are going to have to be super strict on enforcing rules to protect staff and customers, while they try to allow you to get out and enjoy the activities for some outdoor exercise.

Booking online is now live and already proving popular. They can only do bookings via the website as reception will remain unmanned as a control measure.
