Meet our latest TGt Meets interviewee... Daniel Day, owner and founder of the brand new Everyday Fitness Gym & Studio. Everyday Fitness are situated in the heart of Wroughton and offer tailor made memberships to help you achieve your fitness goals!

How did you turn your passion for fitness into a career?

It was actually never the plan but I’m so happy with the way its turned out. My brother was a PT and one day he put me through my paces and tested me beyond my capabilities. Although I hated him for it, from that day forward I loved the challenge that came with health and fitness and for me, to take other people through their own journey and call it a career is an absolute pleasure. I did my course and never looked back.

What makes Everyday Fitness Gym & Studio different to any other gym?

To be honest, I’ve always felt that its the instructors that can really make a facility. The energy and the inspiration has to come from us, when you walk through the gym doors it can be an intimidating place to be and we completely understand that. We make sure that when you walk through our doors you feel completely comfortable and ready to make a change, we support every single member and for me, that’s the difference.

How can Everyday Fitness Gym & Studio help people feel motivated to stay fit and healthy?

Our membership range offers something a little different in that we only want members to pay for what they use. This gives us the ability to really make the absolute most of your experience with us because we can learn and understand what motivates you. We are a small gym, that helps us keep that personal feel, we can help you grow in confidence and do things you never thought you were capable of, inside and outside of the gym.

What are your tips for people looking to get into shape?

For me, consistency is key. It isn’t sexy and it won’t sell many books, but it is the out and out winner when you’re looking to achieve success when working towards a goal. Most people have a really good week or two before slipping back into old habits, you’ve got to get past this and make sustainable changes in order to succeed.

How can you help those who need assistance with their workout routine?

Our premium membership offers a personal training session every single month to ensure that you stay on track. To ensure accountably and to give you a solid plan to follow we are with you every step of the way. Having someone checking up on you is a fantastic way to ensure you keep going and don’t fall away from what you truly want to achieve.

Do you have a motto or favourite motivational quote?

‘hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard’

What are some mistakes people make when training/working towards a weight or fitness goal?

I think too much too soon can be detrimental at times, we all have a fresh wave of motivation at times and you must make the most of that. Being realistic is important, set small achievable goals that can give you a sense on encouragement, fresh little bursts of motivation when you hit a small milestone is a far better way to achieve success than setting unrealistic targets, getting frustrated and falling out of love with the process of achieving something great.

How do Everyday Fitness Gym & Studios classes help those who lack confidence when working out?

Thats natural, we have all been there, myself included. We are experienced instructors that have the ability to ensure that every single member feels welcome. You will never feel out of place at one of our classes, we can ensure that the most experienced class goers mix with complete beginner’s. Everyone works to their best, thats the beauty of group exercise, its an inspiring place to be and I love it.

What type of fitness classes are offered at Everyday Fitness Gym & Studio?

Our classes are just getting going and we aim to add more. We currently offer different types of bootcamp with different instructors to ensure variety. Our core specific classes are a great way of focusing on a specific area and if you accompany that with our high intensity classes you’ll have a very well rounded workout routine. We also offer yoga which gives you a chance to slow down and focus on other aspects of your body.
