Stagecoach announces new bus timetable with more routes, evening services and Sunday trips in Swindon

Stagecoach is rolling out several upgrades and new additions to its bus routes in Swindon, starting Sunday, September 15.

You can expect more evening and Sunday journeys, along with better frequency and punctuality across the board. 

For example, the 49 route between Swindon and Devizes will now run twice as often, with buses every 30 minutes from Monday to Saturday and every hour on Sundays. 

On Sundays, the 49 will also extend to Trowbridge and add a new daytime stop at Broad Hinton. 

Additionally, the number 9 route will have a new evening journey extending to Devizes, leaving Swindon at 10:30 pm.

The number 9 service between Swindon and Wroughton is adding extra evening journeys from Monday to Saturday and bringing back the hourly Sunday service that was last seen in August 2022. 

The 55 route between Chippenham and Swindon will now run up to every 30 minutes on Monday to Saturday evenings.

And there’s more: the number 10 service will start connecting to Abbey Farm, add extra trips to Freshbrook from Monday to Saturday, and provide links between Kingsdown, Abbey Farm, St Andrews Ridge, and Orbital Retail Park on Sundays.
