Snapped: Swindon Walled Garden

On Saturday, 20th June, 35 selfless volunteers stalwarts gathered by the sundial in the Walled Garden regaled in their painstakingly crafted costumes. The meeting was a dress rehearsal ahead of the festivities planned for the weekend of 4th and 5th July, when the park will play host to the Love Lydiard Craft Fair which will also feature games from a bygone era and historic re-enactments. Currently cancer patients living in Swindon have to travel to the Churchill Hospital in Oxford for vital radiotherapy treatment. #TheTimeIsNow campaign encourages people to take a time-related selfie to show their support for the appeal to fund a radiotherapy unit at the GWH.
