How Do You Handle Stress Being An Entrepreneur?

I’ve definitely struggled with all kinds of things that have affected my mental health and well-being. Boy, are there a lot of us out there!

Entrepreneurs who struggle with depression have unique challenges. There’s no one to cover if you need to take a day off (or two, or three!). Whether you’re on top of the world or feeling completely hopeless, the show must go on, right?

I’m not saying it’s harder for entrepreneurs, just that it’s different – and it’s all on you.

There’s no HR department, no agency staff that will cover you. It’s YOU – you’re it! So we need to start talking about it. That conversation can start with me.

Why?

  • I’m an entrepreneur
  • I’ve had my own battles
  • I work with huge companies, helping employees and management to tackle mental health issues
  • I’ve been there
  • I’ve conquered it
  • I’m qualified

I started my business to help people, people who were facing the same kind of things that I have struggled with. YOU are my kind of person. I understand you – and I have the tools to help you.

There are three goals I want to help you with:

Goal 1:

If you are struggling with depression or anxiety, or anything around mental health issues, I want you to know you are not alone. But, you need to talk about it and know that you are not alone.

Goal 2:

Get that conversation started. Mental health issues can be uncomfortable to talk about, but that needs to change. When we keep things to ourselves it’s like that snowball. It’s thrown and as it rolls downhill, it gains momentum, and becomes bigger and bigger and it’s getting out of control … We need to have hard conversations and I can help you – give you some tools. In working with me, I can help you to be more vocal about what you’re going through as well as melting that snowball, before it lands!

Goal 3:

You can still be successful in spite of, or in addition to, your depression or other mental health challenges you are going through. Why? Because you have my support, my experience, my expertise – and because I care.

The choice is yours in how you choose to act. My one message to you is this – Mental illness, stress/anxiety/depression/overwhelm … does NOT make you weak. It does NOT define you. It means you are human. The fact that you are working on your own, doesn’t mean you have to work alone on this.
