Highworth hairstylist recognised with national award
Highworth-based hairstylist Karoliina Saunders was awarded with a national honour award by the Fellowship for British Hairdressing at their annual end-of-year award ceremony that took place over the weekend.
Due to COVID restrictions, the 2020 luncheon and award ceremony moved online as some of the biggest brands and names from the hair and fashion industry eagerly waited to find out who would win some of the industries most prestigious awards.
Based in Highworth, Karoliina Saunders runs her own contemporary boutique hair salon, Karoliina Saunders Hair Design, along with also being a world-renowned hairstylist frequently travelling around the globe to work at some of the World's most glamorous fashion shows, including the Milan and Paris Fashion Week.
A fellow with honours is awarded to those who continue to work towards supporting the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’ growth and profile. This weekend Karoliina became one of only four individuals to receive the award as she was recognised for her outstanding contribution to the industry.
Speaking following the presentation of her award, Karoliina said:
“I am so proud and ever so humbled to have been awarded the Fellow with honours tonight.
“There is no way I could ever pay back the opportunities this amazing organisation has given me over the years and am thankful for every moment.
“I will wear my medal with the greatest of pride,” said Karoliina.
