NATIONAL APPRENTICE WEEK: TGT MEETS - ELLIE BENGE
With it being National Apprenticeship Week we caught up with one of our apprentice's, Ellie Benge, who is a Digital Marketing Apprentice at Total Guide To. She's studying Digital Marketing Principles Level 3, so we asked her all about what it is like to be an apprentice! Here's what she had to say...
What school/college did you attend?
I attended Commonweal School and New college Swindon.
What were your favourite subjects?
At college my favourite subjects were Criminology, Sociology. And at school my favourite subjects were Dance and Drama.
Why have you chosen an apprenticeship?
I choose to take the apprenticeship route after I decided that university wasn’t for me. I wanted to be able to gain a qualification and training while also having the experience of working and learning on the job.
How’s it going?
The apprenticeship is going well, I felt I have really come out of my shell. Being in a workplace has given me the opportunity to learn new skills that I wouldn’t have learnt in school or college.
What are you learning?
I am learning a lot about digital marketing and the business world. How to professionally communicate with clients, keep on track with my workload and balancing it with my apprenticeship work at college.
Where do you hope it will take you?
I hope my apprenticeship and experience will take me into a further world of marketing and digital marketing in the future.
