COTSWOLDS DAY NURSERY NEEDS NEW TEAM MEMBERS AS DEMAND GROWS

The team at one of the Cotswolds leading day nurseries for children aged three months to five years, is growing.

Gooseberry Bush Day Nursery, based at the Cotswold Business Park in Kemble, was first set up almost 18 years ago and has seen 100s of local children pass through its doors.

Now it needs more staff to cope with a growing demand as life moves slowly back to normal, furloughing phases out and the summer holidays come to an end.

Business manager Ellie L’Esteve said: “We’re looking for early years practitioners who love working with children and would relish the opportunity to work within a setting which has been ranked ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. 

“We cherish our staff here and we develop their expertise and help them gain new skills and qualifications so that they become leaders in providing exceptional early years care for these precious children.”

The team are currently recruiting for an apprentice early years’ practitioner, a qualified early years’ practitioner and a senior early years’ practitioner (level 3 or above). The team work to support children and parents living in rural communities around the Cotswolds, Cirencester and North Wiltshire. 

One team member is Gemma Wyatt who has been at Gooseberry Bush Day Nursery for the last 16 years and is a qualified early years’ practitioner.

She said: “I always wanted to work with children and I came here after attending college and getting my first qualification in early years’ childcare. I’ve worked with babies, toddlers and pre-school children and I’ve loved it. 

“We have a lovely team here, we work very hard however it’s such a rewarding job and we pull together to ensure we give the best care for the children in our setting. I love seeing the children grow, learn, play and simply enjoy being here.”
