Young Arts Showcase Seeks Local Talent
Prime Theatre, with the Friends of the Swindon Arts Centre, are looking for young people aged 9-25 with artistic talent.
Organisers are looking for gifted young people, who don’t necessarily have the opportunity, to present their work at a professional venue. This showcase will include all forms of art and performances, dance, drama, song, music, spoken word, short films and everything else Swindon’s young people can bring to the mix. This amazing event will take place at the Swindon Arts Centre on Thursday 2nd March.
The last showcase acts included
-
Red Oaks Primary Schools British Sign Language choir
-
Swindon’s Young Musicians Guitar duo
-
Visual art from Students of The Commonweal School
Daisy Jesson, a performer in last year’s showcase said, “It’s brilliant this event is happening again. Last year was so fun to be a part of and I’m sure a whole new group of young people will really enjoy being involved this time round.”
Emma Gray, Young Producer, said, “This is my first year being involved and I know that Swindon has a lot of hidden talent. This is a great opportunity for under 25s to gain confidence and let the public see what they can do!”
New work does not need to be created especially for this event. If you are a young artist or know someone who might want to get involved, get in touch by emailing [email protected] or for more information call Prime Theatre on 01793614864
